Tubila - What We Are About

Established in 1986, with the constant dedication to breed top quality Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Salukis that will excel in any venue: Show Ring, Lure Coursing Field, Agility & Obedience rings, and most importantly, at home!

Tubila is proud to claim that we are the home of the 1986 Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the United States National Specialty Best of Breed Winner & High In Obedience Trial Winner (the first dog of any breed to accomplish this!). We have also produced many Group Placing, Best In Field and High in Trial winners in multiple countries.

We are blessed to have produced the first ASFA Best in Field Ridgeback, a few of the first agility titled Ridgebacks and many dogs that have earned their versatility titles.

In 2000, we ventured into new territory by adding Salukis to our households. We find that the Salukis and Ridgebacks are a wonderful combination and the Salukis really help keep our Ridgebacks in condition! We have been fortunate with our Salukis to have wonderful success in the show ring and on the coursing fields.

We are proud to own some of the top UKC Conformation and ASFA Lure Coursing Salukis. In fact, for 2005, our Wizard was #2 in UKC and #3 in ASFA and our Halo was #6 in UKC and #5 in ASFA. Needless to say, we are very proud. We are anxious and excited as to where our future will be with Salukis and to start breeding them. We have co-bred our first Saluki litter with our good friends, Kevin & Dawn Carlson, Aeolus and are planning the first Tubila Saluki litter for Winter 2006.

We are also proud of the fact that Janis' Grandson (Lori's Nephew), Eric, has begun to join us in the show ring and the coursing field. Eric has handled Salukis and Ridgebacks for others in both venues and has a light, soft hand on the dogs. We are quite proud of you, E-Boy!
